To begin cleaning our XL, we’ll need to remove all of its components. Remove the cap, coil, mouthpiece, and sheath in this order: remove the cap, coil, mouthpiece, and sheath. Some elbow grease is required to remove this process, especially if you haven’t cleaned your Terp Pen XL in a while.

What is Terp Pen Coil

The CF 710’s replacement, the Terp Pen, is one of our favourites at Boundless Technology. The Boundless CF 710 has been revamped to be 1/3 the weight and size of the previous model. To improve use, we also removed the button, enhanced battery life, and reduced the price!

Terp Pen Coil

You’ll learn everything you need to know about cleaning your Terp Pen in this blog. It’s a good idea to gather some cleaning products before we begin. In addition to isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs, you’ll also need paper towels and possibly a dab rig to complete this task! You can also use the cleaning equipment that comes with the machine to remove any remaining residue.

Using either a paper towel, cotton swab or cotton pad to wipe clean the main body of the Terp Pen XL, we’ll next move on to the other parts of the device. It may take some time to remove the remaining concentrate because it is sticky, but persevere!

“Can you soak the pen or coils to clean them?” is one of the most often requested inquiries. Because of the risk of isopropyl alcohol leaking into the hardware and damaging the electrical components, we don’t advocate this. Prior to learning how to clean your pen, we want to make sure you don’t harm it in the cleaning process.

We also want to make sure that we don’t leave any cotton fibers behind as we clean. What if you didn’t need it right away? Begin by using a dab tool to carefully remove the reclaimed material, followed by an alcohol-based scrape to remove the remaining residue.

Unclog the Terp Pen Coil

There’s no better way to unclog a terp pen than using the included cleaning tool. The air holes on your coil are perfectly sized for this. Your coil can be cleaned in a gentle manner by using this method.

Sheath

Our Terp Pens often fail to deliver a clean hit because one of the air holes has become clogged. We’ll also need to clean the cap, so we’ll use rubbing alcohol and carefully rub it.

After that, you’ll want to clean the outer sheath of the body. Q-Tips can help you get into crevices that have been neglected for a long time. The mouthpiece is the final item to be cleaned, and we recommend using isopropyl and cotton swabs to do it carefully on both the inside and the outside.

How to Get the Sheath Clean

Once the main body has been polished to a mirror-like shine, we’ll proceed to the sheath. Make careful you use an alcohol-dipped cotton swab while cleaning the sheath and the cap. This makes it easier to get to those hard-to-reach places. Scrape the interior of the sheath again with your dab tool to remove any remaining residue. Finally, use your cotton swabs to thoroughly wipe the inside of the capsules.

Taking Care of the Terp Pen XL’s Cap

It comes apart into two parts, one with a silicone floor for reclaim and one with a quartz-lined tip for storing concentrates. After unscrewing the cap pieces, we then remove the silicone floor from the center and wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol.

Next, we use cotton swabs to thoroughly clean the two sections of the cap. In the same way, make sure to clean the mouthpiece now. Despite the fact that it doesn’t include any additional concentration, it’s always a good idea to be extra clean. Clean the pieces thoroughly, and then go over them once more on the outside to make sure no sticky residue has been transferred.

Finally, and most significantly, we’ll need to clean the coils of the Terp Pen XL Coil. The frequency with which you clean the coils on your Terp Pen XL can vary depending on how much you use it.

To begin creating the coils, use a toothpick or a very thin dab tool. Gently slide this through the back air vents. The most common cause of a clogged Terp Pen XL has blocked air holes. So, if you’re having problems, start by looking for any holes.

When the air holes have been cleared, use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean the metal pieces, being cautious not to damage the o-ring at its tip. We don’t want to rub too much alcohol on the ceramic coils because this will shorten the life of your coils. We have a clean Terp Pen XL now that we have checked for any residue.

Take pleasure in your new XL Clean Terp Pen

Our XL should be a piece of cake to assemble now: body, sheath, mouthpiece, coils, and cap! Your coils will last longer if you clean them on a regular basis, and you’ll get better, more precise hits.

We’re ready to rebuild the Terp Pen now that there is no residue or concentrate left behind. In this case, there’s no need to follow a certain sequence. Just be sure to wait until the cleaning process is complete before doing so. After a thorough cleaning, your Terp Pen is ready to go!
